Hair transplant clinics in Turkey

Turkey is the world's largest hair-transplant destination (Istanbul alone hosts 500+ clinics; Turkey's health-tourism receipts were $3.02bn across 1,398,580 international patients in 2025) and clinics almost never sell per graft, they sell flat all-inclusive EUR packages, and any per-graft rate is back-computed afterwards. Named published packages: Cosmedica (Dr. Levent Acar) lists EUR 2,550 for FUE Sapphire and EUR 3,290 for Micro Sapphire DHI, both 'up to 4,000 grafts', with a EUR 8,000 VIP tier; Smile Hair Clinic lists Gold EUR 2,390 / Platinum EUR 3,290 / Diamond EUR 5,790, where the price step buys senior-doctor involvement rather than more grafts; Dr. Terziler starts standard FUE at EUR 1,650 all-in and robotic DHI at EUR 3,500. The outlier that does publish a true per-graft rate is Asmed (Dr. Koray Erdogan) at EUR 2/graft with the surgical team, EUR 3/graft with Dr. Erdogan personally and EUR 7/graft for long-hair FUE, so a 2,500-graft case there is roughly $8,650, nearly five times a budget package. The headline '$0.80 per graft' is an artifact of dividing a cheap package by the maximum grafts in its tier: the same EUR 2,550 package is EUR 0.64/graft at 4,000 grafts but EUR 1.02/graft at 2,500, so the per-graft number falls as the case grows and says nothing about who actually holds the punch, the 'hair mill' problem where unlicensed technicians run 10-50 surgeries a day is precisely what the cheapest packages buy.

Genuinely two-tier market. Foreign-facing prices are quoted in EUR, converted at EUR/USD 1.1534 (13 Aug 2026): EUR 1,650 = $1,903; EUR 2,550 = $2,941; EUR 3,290 = $3,795; EUR 5,790 = $6,678; EUR 8,000 = $9,227; Asmed EUR 3/graft = $3.46, EUR 3.5 = $4.04, EUR 7 = $8.07. Domestic Turkish-lira prices published for local patients are far lower: Doku Clinic lists 35,000-70,000 TL for 3,000 grafts and 70,000-140,000 TL for 5,000; the gtmd.org.tr tariff lists 45,000-60,000 TL for a 3,000-3,500 graft crown+hairline case and 65,000-85,000 TL for 4,500-5,500 grafts; Dr. Evren Gokesme lists 45,000-125,000 TL. At USD/TRY 47.78 that is roughly $730-$1,465 for a mid-size domestic case, because the TL price excludes the hotel, VIP transfer, translator and 12-month aftercare bundled into the tourist package. Important structural caveat: the Sac Ekimi Birimleri Hakkinda Yonetmelik (Resmi Gazete, 6 May 2023) plus Turkey's general medical advertising ban means many domestic providers publish no prices at all, Medipol Saglik Grubu's own hair-transplant cost page carries zero figures and Dr. Evren Gokesme's site states outright that publishing surgery prices online is prohibited. That is why the visible web is dominated by EUR tourist packages rather than real domestic rates.
